Mamas-It’s tough. I hear ya. You are ready to give it all in finding true health for your family but your family is just not having it. That was me 5 years ago when I finally decided to do an overhaul on my health and wellness after having my daughter.
It started with fitness when I joined a local crossfit gym but soon morphed into nutrition when I learned that the protein shakes and bars that I was consuming were making me feel terrible. I learned about paleo and started focusing on my nutrition but got a lot of backlash from my husband and then 2 year old.
Determined to continue with my health journey I was making two meals each night. One meal my family would eat and one meal that I “paleo-fied” so that it would work for me. The food was making me feel great but I was exhausted. Getting home after work to slave away to make two separate meals was too much and the guilt I felt about feeding my family that processed food and refined carbohydrates just to get them to eat was bearing down on me. Something had to change.
I had to figure out a way to get my family to eat all of the whole, nutritious food I knew they needed to thrive but keep the dinner table free of tears (mostly me!). That is why I created Return To The Table. I have a passion for health and realize there is not a one size fits all approach to a family finding their true health. I also realize this journey can be tough on a parent. I want to make that easier on you.
